A clean chimney is a safe chimney, and a warm one. Over a season, soot and creosote build up inside your flue, which makes your fire harder to light, less efficient, and a genuine fire risk. A yearly sweep clears all of that out and keeps your wood burner running the way it should.
I’ve swept over 30,000 chimneys around the Hutt Valley and Porirua region, so there’s very little I haven’t seen. This service is what I call the ‘warrant of fitness’ for your wood burner. I start by laying down drop sheets, then I check over the wood burner, completing a full safety check, and I let you know if anything needs attention.
