Wood Burner Repairs & Servicing
Wood burners work hard, and parts wear out. If your fire isn’t drawing properly, the glass keeps blacking up, the door won’t seal or the rope is worn, the baffle has a hole in it, or the firebricks are crumbling, I can fix it. I repair and service all makes and models, and I carry the common replacement parts so most jobs can be sorted on the spot.
This is my speciality. Alongside sweeping and safety reports, wood burner repairs are what I do day in, day out, so you’re getting someone with over 25 years on these fires who knows them inside out.
I’ll tell you what actually needs doing, get your fire running safely again, and leave your home clean when I’m finished.

Brands I service
I service and repair all the common New Zealand makes, including Jayline, Kent, Masport, Logaire, Metro, and Garth & Fisher, along with plenty of others. If your model isn’t listed, just get in touch, it’s more than likely I can look after you.

Replacement parts

I have a full mobile service and carry replacement parts so I can do more repairs and servicing on the spot.
These include:
- Air tubes
- Baffles
- Fire bricks
- Caps
- Door seals
If it’s something less common, I’ll source it and get it sorted as quickly as possible. If your flue has rusted out, it will be a big repair job, with a flue replacement. We will order the right flue for your wood burner and come back to install it when the flue arrives.
How to pay
I bring an EFTPOS machine, so it’s easy to pay me once the job is done.
Areas I cover
I provide full mobile wood burner service across the whole Hutt Valley and northern Wellington suburbs up to Porirua.
Straight, honest advice
Sometimes a repair is the smart move, and occasionally an older wood burner is better replaced. Keep in mind that a new wood burner can cost around $8,000. Either way, I’ll tell you straight what I’d do if it were my own home.
